Kensington 2/71 defeated Southern District

Kensington have cruised to victory against Southern District thanks to a strong all-round performance from Kelly Armstrong

Kensington won the toss and elected to bowl which immediately paid dividends having the Stingrays in trouble at 2/8. Rachel Greenshields (22) and Jess O’Reilly (12) combined for a solid 40-run partnership before Armstrong took hold of the game claiming 3/19 restricting Southern District to just 8/70 from their 20 overs.

It was a quick chase for the Browns as Armstrong again took control hitting 31 from just 30 balls to ensure victory, as Kensington finished 2/71 running out eight-wicket winners.

West Torrens 1/60 defeated Port Adelaide 57

West Torrens have also coasted to a win, defeating Port Adelaide in the Kayla McGrath show.

Port Adelaide won the toss and elected to bat but were immediately up against it as Jess Joseph (3/12) and McGrath (4/9) – who is the younger sister of Ashes representative Tahlia - had the Magpies up against the wall. Emily Johns played a patient innings for her 21 but received very little support as Port Adelaide were bowled out for just 57 from 19.3 overs.

West Torrens made light work of the run chase as McGrath continued her stunning game hitting 25 runs not out and combining with Angela Treloar (21) to lead the Eagles to a 9 wicket win in 9.1 overs.

Sturt defeated Northern Districts

Northern Districts forfeited the match, with Sturt taking the default points.
