SACA WET WEATHER PROCEDURE
For all after-hours advice about heat-outs and wash-outs please ring the SACA Hotline 1900 950 598.
The SACA Wet Weather Procedure is to be followed by players, parents/guardians, umpires and club officials. For conciseness, these are referred to hereafter as 'participants'. The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that no participant suffers significant injury due to participating in unsafe conditions.
PRIOR TO THE DAY OF COMPETITION
All ground changes and notice of damage need to be submitted to SACA Competitions Coordinator - Jack Campion no later than 5:00PM on the Friday prior to the day of competition. This can be done via email - firstname.lastname@example.org or phone - (08) 8300 3244.
ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION
If a player, club official or parent is unsure as to whether or not a match is going to go ahead on any given day of competition please call the SACA Hotline 1900 950 598.
On the day of competition it is the umpires call as to whether or not the ground is playable. Please do not contact SACA looking to cancel the fixture or notify the umpires, officials, opposition that the game has been abandoned.
Umpires are the soul judge of pitch and venue condition.
